Rising Damp
You might be watching water move uphill! Not literally up a hill but if you have mould, air bubbles, peeling paint and moisture appearing at the base of your walls, you are probably looking at RISING DAMP.
Rising damp is water moving up through concrete walls and it can have the following consequences:
1: It weakens the structural integrity of your building.
2: It destroys the wrong paint or coating you have used.
3: Mould formed by rising damp can worsen health symptoms for people with respiratory problems.
It’s a pretty serious issue and something that you cannot just leave and hope it goes away.
Paint Tribe stocks CEMCRETE’S PERMASTOP which bonds with the water in the concrete and creates a completely waterproof layer in your cement.
This is very good way to stop rising damp in concrete walls. Email us at sales@paint-tribe.co.zm for more information if you need help with rising damp.
